Vocalist and National Sawdust Season 5 Artist in Residence Lucy Dhegrae confronted sexual violence squarely and unapologetically in her residency project The Processing Series, which “attempts to shed light on the complex relationship between mind and body” (New York Times). While her final residency performances could not continue in our physical space, we’re thrilled to have her along with collaborator Nathaniel LaNasa in the Digital Discovery Festival for a special performance on the themes of relationships and community as a part of our Trailblazers week.
Artists are being hit incredibly hard in these trying times. Please consider supporting the artists directly:
More than ever, our city needs a home that welcomes and celebrates music in all its forms and vibrancy. Match for Music: Double Your Donation to National Sawdust today to strengthen our resiliency and keep our doors open to support artists’ livelihoods, digitally and in the future. Every dollar you contribute will be matched 1:1 by our Board Chair Kevin Dolan and President Jill Steinberg up to $300,000. Thank you for anything you can do to help National Sawdust continue to connect us all through the gift of music. Donate here.
Performances are free, but we would love to keep in touch. We will provide artist lineups, updates on scheduling, and resources to accompany the performances. We will NOT share your information with anyone else.
