Mario Layne Fabrizio

Mario Layne Fabrizio is a drummer, composer, percussionist, writer, and visual artist. He performs around the world, bringing his “ferocious but subtle drumming” (LondonJazzNews) to the stage. He has performed with such notable musicians as Cecil McBee, Claudio Roditi, and Joe Morris, and premiered The Black Clown. He blends comedy, film, dance, literature, and visual art in his work, and does not discriminate by idiom. Some of his methodology includes creating stories with various substrata, dramatis personae, and modes of development that meld freedom to a malleable structure. Spirituality, the intuition, dimension, and dreams highly inform his practice.
